Mini Sweet Peas

Aka Cicercha purpurina, Lathyrus clymenum, Southern pea (or Spanish vetchling - but not calling it that, this is Portugal!)

Apologies for another wildflower Blip, but loving my new app... apparently, the peas that this plant produces are made into a much appreciated dip in Santorini, which looks much like houmous to me; if I see the pods, will have to try it.

We stopped at the side of the road on the way back from a shopping trip to Évora, as we'd no photos yet. Mike got up on some rocks and took this, while I went burrowing into the vegetation and saw these, plus loads of other pretty flowers. But, to complement Mike's Blip, I'll put the view of Monsaraz, looking the opposite way to him, in extras. Notice how yellow the grass is getting already.

Gratefuls:
- safety (and beauty) on the roads
- fairly successful shopping for things like supplies for automatic irrigation of trees Paul helped plant (though no electric screwdriver, nor connectors for replaced solar panel)
- Leonor coming with her Dad, Jaime, to tend to their sheep, and "helping" me make a cheesecake for an event tomorrow (she's never eaten cheesecake, will have to make her one, nor had she ever eaten a digestive)
