Crossing the Alqueva lake

This is the bridge which crosses the lake (and the old course of the Guadiana river), the bridge is actually about a kilometer long (foreshortened in the picture) and is made of one piece of reinforced concrete with expansion gaps at each end. Mourão castle can be seen on the skyline on the right, if I had faced the opposite way Monsaraz and it's castle would have been in a similar position.
