Great Crested Grebe Family

Nigel told me last week that the pair of great crested grebes at Dishley Pool had hatched at least one humbug. We went to see for ourselves this afternoon. The grebes were in the middle of the water. Even with a lens of effective 600mm they looked small. I deleted several photos I took because of camera shake. But you can just see a grebette riding on Dad's back in this one.

I finished watching The Night Manager. Of course, it had to have an ending that would satisfy the viewers, unlike the book.
