From the Institute

While Lisa was doing her civic jury duty, I went to Menards ( a giant hardware store) and spent a few dollars. After there, I stopped into the Flint Institute of Arts.

Always, I ask myself..."What is art?" Not so much for this piece, but several others. One guy crushed a cardboard beer container, and called it art.

I do like this glass piece. She stands about 6 feet tall, and is very intricate in her detail. She was created in 2009 by artist Lucio Bubacco, and is titled...Watcher.

As for Lisa, she DID get placed on a jury, and will be returning to the courthouse on the morrow.

In birthday news, daughter Karen turns 41 today. Son Jeff and d-i-l Heather were just here with baby Beckett, and Jeff said..."Boy, 5 months have sure flown by since he was born."

41 years has flown by, too. Happy birthday Sweetheart. Love you.
