Central Garden at The Getty Center

This is the floating maze designed by California artist, Robert Irwin, for the Central Garden at the Getty Center in Los Angeles. It was created with azaleas: light salmon, white and red azaleas. Here you see it in full bloom. It is the surprise he prepares you for when you start your discovery journey down the stream path. The maze suggests the gesture of throwing a stone into the water and its ripple effect. People always are amazed by it.
