It must be global warming

Its not unusual for an Englishman to be talking about the weather but for him to be really HAPPY its RAINING is not normal.
It has not rained here for weeks, the ground is rock hard. Over the last few days I have been planting out from the greenhouse. I was chipping out holes, filling them with water and then dropping the plant into the water, backfilling to hold it in position. Not the normal way to plant out but hopefully successful. These plants will be very grateful for the rain.
On Monday I took a bit of a risk and spread weed and feed over the lawn. If it had not rained today or tomorrow I would have ended up hosing the stuff in. A big job avoided fortunately.
