We had a very pleasant bike ride, combining it with delivering library books to different housebound people. The pannier bags are heavy all the way round, as we have to take back the returns. 
For no apparent reason, we were aggressively overtaken by a car which then promptly stopped in the road. We cycled past, whereupon it immediately overtook us, with the driver unleashing a thankfully unintelligible string of abuse.
