Memorial

We had a lovely five make over the Sussex Ups and Downs this morning, finishing up with lunch at the lovely Royal Oak at Hooksway.

Along the way we spotted this memorial to a German pilot by the name of Oestermann who died aged 25 in 1940 as his Junkers Ju88 was on a raid over England.  His 3 crew members, Rossler, Seitz and Brieger all survived and were taken prisoner.
