Flags (Day 70)

Came on to thunder at 13.00 as I was transplanting stuff. A limitless rain.

The Boss in two 3.4 mag earthquakes last night in Florence. Not uncommon and much more destructive on the other side and ridges of the Apennines.

Bought loads of summer flowering plants today and put in an order for a small poly cum shade tunnel. Not really the time of year to do the latter unless I use it for shading tomatoes- which some people do in an attempt to stop the bottom rot that attacks the tastiest varieties - San Marzano and Costuletto Fiorentina - and then extending the autumn growing period into winter.
