Ready for anything
Seeing this tiny jewel zooming through the garden is guaranteed to make me smile on just about any day. And today he was definitely joined by a female although she didn't stick around for photos. I shot this with our lawn in the background so his dazzling colors really show well. And the blur of tiny wings.
A group of catbirds is staking out territory now in the garden - the air was filled with their odd squeaks and calls as they chased each other and vied for prime territory. I also heard (but did not see) a Great Crested Flycatcher, an Ovenbird and a Black-throated Green Warbler somewhere near the edge of our woods. So wonderful to hear all the songs of spring.
Took Jax for a walk to expel the demons. It worked for a while but now they are back. He just came downstairs with Hubs' pillow. Little shit.
I'm off to see my doc again - his office called to say they'd found a possible culprit in a low B12 level. So more blood work to follow and possibly some B12 injections. This might explain the weight loss and overall tiredness. And it doesn't sound like anything very serious so that's good.
Staying with the delicious dark w/macadamia nuts again today.
