Wartweed buds

The rather hairy buds of Greater celandine or Wartweed ( Stinkende gouwe in Dutch). Not surprising that concoctions were made from it to fight hirsuteness :-) Apparently very popular in witches’ ointments. These buds make me think of mini Triffids ! Spent quite some time in the garden today deadheading the tulips, sowing flowers seeds for the bees and butterflies, clearing my pumpkinpatch and sowing it and planting broccoli and sunflowers.I will probably regret it tomorrow when the hayfever rules, but it had to be done.
