The Pitch

My Dear Princess and Dear Friends,

I am trying to help Corrie at work. As you know, she stepped in as project manager after Shenée got shoved out last December. She has done a great job under difficult circumstances. 

And - of course - once the project is over, she will be demoted.

Because eh? What? But? What?

She applied for a job as a project manager but got knocked back. So she will be going back to her old job as project coordinator instead. 

So she and Ellie and I had a planning session yesterday to create a new role custom-made for her. Our hope is that when the role is created, senior managers are not too stupid to realise that she is PERFECT for the role I'll define for her. 

Today was step one of the plan. To get sign off from one senior manager that we can go ahead and write the Official Memo in which the role is defined. He will then approve it and the wheels to fill the role will then be in motion. 

And in our meeting with him, I actually suggested TWO new roles, which doubles her chances. 

Keep your fingers crossed for us. 

In other news, Ellie bought me breakfast today! She really is a delight. We had lovely chats and I got a big hug afterward. Despite it being very busy today, it is moments like that which make my day.

Also, it is Eid. If you are reading this Fazzy, I hope you ate all the chocolate. All of it.
