Aquarium

We woke up early a knock on the door, a neighbours young cat was stuck up a 17m tall Scots Pine and needed to be rescued. Cannon went down with his climbing gear and managed to rescue the cat and stick her in a bag which he attached to his harness. S and I went to the aquarium and had it all to ourselves. It’s a catch and release aquarium so all the creatures are from local waters, mostly caught by fisherman who donate them. Most creatures are released after a couple of weeks and new ones brought in. Blip is of an amazing octopus we saw, I was amazed to learn they only live for 2 years! Next we went along to a cafe on the pier and had some lunch, not as good as it used to be sadly. That didn’t matter though because all S cared about was getting a strawberry ice cream with sprinkles (I had a dark chocolate and cherry one), we sat in my boot to eat them and enjoyed the sun. On the way home we stopped in at mums for a couple of hours, when I went back to my car to drive home a box of cakes had appeared to say thank you to the cat rescuing hero.
