Wellspring

Today's the day ........................ to be down by the riverside

This is all that remains of the FV 'Wellspring'' that has spent the last seventeen years or so hauled up on the banks of the River Dee at Kirkcudbright.  It seems such a shame that it's going to deteriorate until eventually, it just rots away - although, I suppose if you're looking for a bit of artistic decay, it's a photographer's dream!  I wrote about it here a couple of years ago, if you want to know more.

On a cheerier note, there was plenty of new life on the river as well.  Mrs Mallard was having quite a job rounding up her eleven little ones so she  could keep an eye on them all.  But there's always a contrary one that lags behind - and gets itself into trouble ......................!
