Back in the frozen north!!!

Back in Edinburgh and OMG; isn't it cold? My human has her fluffy slippers on, the fire is on and I'm all snuggled up in my bed. Before we left for a month in Cornwall, (on the 1st April), Ann took the electric blanket off her bed and put it away for the winter. #bigmistake #wearefreezing

First thing this morning myself and Alfie, the Beardie, went for a walk along by Carsington Reservoir and it was actually very warm. Ann wanted us both to pose for a Blip photo but unfortunately Alfie doesn't understand a word Ann says so he just continued walking and wouldn't pose nicely. In fact he woofed at us, as if to say, 'Stop faffing around and get on with the walk.'

On the way home back to Edinburgh, our first stop was 'the Angel of the North'. There's loads of room there for me to have run about time, but to be honest I did more rolling than running. Ann was a bit cold but I didn't notice because I was busy rolling around.

Our second stop was Spittal Beach (just south of Berwick Upon Tweed). From the 'Angel of the North' it took us almost 2 hours to get there (the roadworks on the A1 around Newcastle are horrendous) and when we hit the beach it was like being at the North Pole. Not that we've ever been to the North Pole but that's beside the point! However the good things about stopping off for a play on Spittal Beach were:
1) We saw dolphins. Lots of them, jumping in and out of the sea. Ann tried taking some photos of me watching them but as you can see, our photo shows me watching them, but NO dolphins. Lol!
2) Ann was hungry so she bought herself a hotdog on the prom. And guess what?....................... she shared. Yay! She couldn't eat it all so I got the left overs. It was yummy.

Once we'd got home and unpacked, I got taken on another little toileting break walk to the shop where Ann works so that she could let the girls know we're back and catch up on the gossip, check on her rotas for the next few days.

…..............And now we're indoors for the rest of the evening. I've gobbled up my dinner and I am totally, utterly and completely exhausted.

Because it's sooooooo cold, Ann has switched all the heating on, she has her fluffy slippers on and is going to have IKEA meatballs, oven chips & sweetcorn for dinner. #freezersaregreat

…................And that's been our day.

Happy Bank Holiday Monday peeps. xxx
