Wretched and Wild, all glory and lust

End of the birthday weekend with a Bank Holiday and I do not think I have had such a busy weekend for years.

Not that we were "out" other than Edinburgh.  But boy we walked there. - probably not as much as professional walkers, but for a pair of lazy slobs - it was far enough.

Sunday - you know what went down there.

Today- He got me out of bed at 8.30.  He was heading to the allotment to finalise the fence - I was going to tackle the garden.   I decided to do it in bit.  Himself had only been gone 45 minutes when he turned back up.  He forgot his saw.

Off he went again.

I cut back the ivy; I built my new seat for Cosmo (see Extra);  I weeded the back corner, moved the fushia and the h..... I can't remember flowery thing.

I strimmed the front garden;  I planted some cornflowers. I planted some wild seeds.  Himself came home - after knocking out his crown, and falling over his shoelaces.  He was seriously worried about what else may befall him.

We had a slice of toasted cheese, and a cuppa and I repotted my herb garden sans mint. (It gets everywhere).  Then while he told me to sit still and relax - He went for a shower, and I weeded the drive.

Then I comforted Bean who stared down Alfie when he chased.  You could tell she was feeling well gallus.... but shaken all the same.

Then I came in and sang Magnolia by Gang of Youths very loudly, while in the shower, to drown out the noise of Luther singing "Dance with my father".

And now - I'm sitting here wrapped in a towel, smelling the lasagne, and thinking I may treat myself to a wee glass of vino.

PS - Have a look at my extra.  Boy and Jess - went on a hike this week.  Got lost yesterday.  Climbed an extra 500 metres, slid down a mountain river, found power cables, followed them back to town.  They got a lift to the Volcano today.  Look at those Llamas!  ha ah hha ha
