A smashing day!

Look, kids. When your teacher tells you to stop mucking about and you think it's because they're a miserable old fuddy-duddy who'll do everything they can to stop you having any kind of fun at all... this is the reason they say that so next time, just stop mucking about, OK?


Thankfully no harm done to anything but the window (and not in my lesson, either - phew!).

Had a pretty good first day back after Easter. Got a lot done and my Year 7s did 'better than expected' in the test they did before the holidays. Even if the expectations weren't very high, I'll take that as meaning maybe I actually taught them something over the past few weeks! I can't take all the credit, though - they all worked really hard and every one of them did their very best.
