Finishing Philippians......

Many of our church family were absent today for various reasons.  You might think that in a church our size, absences would not be very noticeable----you would be wrong!  We are one body of believers united in Christ and we miss you when you are not there to be blessed along with the rest of us as we joined hearts and voices in praise and worship, followed by the choir, orchestra and other accompanists as they performed "Redeemed By The Blood Of The Lamb" which included lovely solo and duet passages sung by Larry and Tammy.  After that, Pastor Wes finished his series of sermons in Philippians, reminding us of who we are in Christ, saints set apart to do the will and work of God and that we should always remember that the end goal is not all about us, but about spreading the good news of Christ to a world in need of a Savior using whatever gifts and talents and tools He has given us to do it.  Pastor Wes had much more to say and it would be worth your time to see the Live-stream.  Next Sunday is Mother's Day in the U.S..  I still am blessed to have my mom who turned 89 yesterday, so I am looking forward to it........
