New growth

Went over to Perwinnes to catch up with the wildlife there. Not many flowers showing yet, but I was interested to see the amount of new growth on some of the fallen conifers. I wonder if the trees are trying to produce  lots of seed because they know they are unlikely to survive. In the extra, a long tailed tit with a beak full of insects.
