Mother of the Bride

Email from No.1 who has been speaking to her MIL to be regarding wedding outfits. Obviously we don’t want to clash and she was asking me what I was thinking? We need a shopping trip to try on but it needs to be warm (layers) and comfortable. I don’t like the standard MofB outfit of shift dress with bolero jacket but would prefer something a bit more left field? I quite like this dress but what coat and shoes? I sent her a picture and she was not that impressed! No.1 was messaging me with outfit ideas but we will need a shopping trip (or three).

Today was gardening and a visit to a place selling garden pots. The chap deals with large planters for offices and sells the pots off when he changes the office set up. Lots of sizes and colours and we bought a few (inspired by my trip to Sarah Raven) and plan to have lots of geraniums and bedding in pots. A few hours in the garden emptying the winter bulbs and replanting the daffodils in the lawn and tulips in the borders and moving a few plants around.

OH cooked dinner while I finished off in the garden - aching muscles after a busy afternoon. Netflix and a relaxing evening will complete the day.
