Weather Report

There's been something strangely disconcerting about the recent weather. Spring has forced itself upon us with its usual speed and stealth, turning the landscape green. Sun has poured in through the windows making it feel like summer. The ground is parched. I kick up dust from the paths when I run on the moor. I open the door in the morning expecting warmth. But it's cold. I've had to weaken and stick the heating on, even four layers not hacking it. At least today, by the end of a sunny afternoon, the air temperature had risen enough to strip down a bit.
