Hardknott Fell

Drove over to the Wrynose and Hardknott Passes today - always an exciting drive - and despite being a bank holiday weekend, it really wasn't too busy.

We parked up near the Roman Fort and walked up Hardknott Fell, a steep but fairly straightforward route. Neither of us felt 100% as we'd had our neighbours round yesterday for dinner and a few drinks - we're such lightweights, we felt a little delicate this morning. 

However, it seemed such a long way to drive for just the one fell, so we crossed the road and managed Harter Fell (Eskdale) and Green Crag as well. So it ended up as a pretty serious day out.
