A lovely couple of hours stroll, walk out the front door, 10 minutes later this abandoned golf course.
We saw Herons, a buzzard, lots of tadpoles & frogs, Last week J9 had some deer cross in the woods just feet away from her.
It’s on green belt land on the edge of the village. A developer bought the golf club, closed it down, and for the last few years has been trying for planning permission to build nearly 1,000 homes on it. To put it in context there are a lot of empty brown field sites around here too.
The council have removed it from green belt, but turned down the latest planning application. I’m sure that had nothing to do with elections in May.
Bastards all of them.

Anyway, we had a nice day.
