Getting Ahead of Itself

I’m very fond of this clematis, and blipped it last year on May 4th, so it looks as though it’s a bit further on this year.
Home is the best place to be on a bank holiday - if you have the luxury of being retired.
I spent the morning in the garden as it was so nice, and saw 4 butterflies - a Large White, an Orange Tip, a Holly Blue and a Comma - all too fleeting to photograph, but it augers well for a good Spring and Summer if only we can avoid the repeat of last year’s cold May.
