Blipmeet!

TickyTocky and Mrs TT came over for lunch today. It's a very long time since we've seen them, well before Covid, so it was good to catch up and introduce them to my much-blipped village.

We'd done most food preparation yesterday, so not too much pressure, but suddenly time seemed to telescope and I realised there was no window of opportunity to bake the bread I started yesterday and have it ready for lunch. So S had to nip out to the boulangerie. The shame!

The continuing novelty of having an oven meant it got plenty of use. Caroline's onion tart to start, baked daurade with potatoes, onions and tomatoes, cheese, and finally old favourite tarte au citron -- one thing I can't mess up.

After we'd waved them off and loaded the dishwasher it was still a lovely afternoon, so we went for a short stroll through the vineyards in the late afternoon sun. But I'll spare you yet another vine blip. A good day!
