Bluebells

A busy and mostly productive day. I had an 8:10 appt at the surgery for my 6 monthly blood test which went smoothly. Later in the morning I took a couple of jigsaws to the charity shop and went to Barclays to bank the refund for my car tax on my old car - good that it arrived only 6 days after I sold it. This afternoon I wrote another email to the car salesman, this time about the warranty (he said one thing when he sold it to me, his boss said another, the warranty said a third and the Toyota website a fourth). Then I did my tax return having got all the info together yesterday - a lot of info to complete given that really they only need my small taxable interest and dividend figures which are well below the allowance they give you anyway. I do owe them…….£2, which I was unable to pay - presumably I need to wait a day or so for their system to update. Then I tried to print a few related things - my computer, iPad and phone all couldn’t print and either thought another computer was blocking it or they couldn’t see the printer. I think I’ve solved it by switching off the mini hub, leaving it a few mins and then switching it back on! The bluebells are from the churchyard, they do keep it lovely with bulbs and wild flowers.

Day 771 / Day 62 of no Legal Covid Requirements in England (for my record only)
The weekly ONS infection survey of private households to w/e 23rd April has shown a record drop in the number of infections, down c900,000 to 2.87m (still relatively high). 1 in 25 had the virus in England (down); 1 in 25 in Scotland (down); 1 in 18 in Wales (down); and 1 in 25 in NI (unclear). In England, infections are still highest in the NE. Hospital admissions have also fallen to 1,455 a day, down from 2,400 a day at the end of March.
