Hillside

This afternoon the company had arranged a treat! We had a Jeep safari round the local hills. Thankfully the Jeep was actually a proper Land Rover, so off road was good - though hardly sophisticated. It was freezing cold and pouring with rain. However our driver (guide) was very talkative and we had a pretty good time - though some of the other groups weren't as lucky.

Towards the end we stopped for a walk around a hilltop village - however it was freezing cold, pouring with rain and sadly rather depressing. I did take this picture on the hillside, which has a Portuguese flag on it to mark the World Cup. With some processing in GIMP it looks better here than it did when I was there...

When we got back to the hotel I ran a very hot bath and soaked in it for an hour to warm up before dinner and the evening social event (which I sneaked out of early).
