Too cute

I blame the parents on this find. If they weren't so static (lapwings are never still when you're nearby) and noisy, I would have been oblivious.  I hadn't even reached the starting point of our walk.  With the parents having caught my eye, I stopped, peered over the wall and found three of these little cutesters.  Not wanting to draw attention to any passing birds of prey, I moved on quickly but with a lovely happy feeling.
