This grotesque looking tulip will presumably look interesting when it's fully open - of course, they're diseased, but would have fetched a very high price in the tulip room at the Carrier's Quarters back at the height of tulip mania.

It's a year since I travelled up to Orkney in order to attend Ogatodomar's burial.

Edit: just put in an extra that I assumed was some common or garden weed - but the spotted leaves suggest that it's something called Spotted Catsear, supposedly v rare in Scotland! I'd better dig it out next time I'm passing, before the council get at it with their poisonous spray.
