A great day out!
Tuesday
It was a lovely day today, so we made the most of it. Late morning, we drove downtown for Music Live at Lunch at Christ Church Cathedral - today was Ricky Nye, quite a well known Cincinnati musician, pianist and vocalist, playing a mix of blues, boogie Woogie and classic New Orleans Jazz. We partook of the lunch they offer, then after the concert, we drove to Eden Park to see the butterfly display at Krohn Conservatory. Our timed entrance wasn’t until 2 pm, so we had time for a stroll through the park first. Fortunately, the Conservatory wasn’t very crowded, so I was able to get quite a few photographs - one of the joys of being retired, being able to go to things during the week, when it’s less crowded! We checked out the other areas as well as the butterfly display, then we drove to International Friendship Park, and walked from there to Smale riverfront park, which was just beautiful, so I’ve put a second collage in extras. Roger was feeling a bit sluggish in the afternoon - allergies have been getting him down this year, worse than usual - so it was a fairly gentle pace. We enjoyed watching a couple of big barges come by, always fascinating watching them negotiate the succession of bridges.
