Still Life No 1

It has been a wet day, and I didn't go out, so tried my hand at my first still life. I entitle it: 'Gannet with Monster Apple against a Background of Belemnites'. A succinct title, I know, but expressive. It conveys the sense that immense time (approx 199.3 ± 0.3 million years since the belemnites were alive in the late Jurassic) should be enough for this voracious seabird to get through even this gigantic (relatively, of course) apple. Meanwhile, the Apple is a tribute to Mr Jobs, on one of whose computers I am typing this rubbish.
Take care, I may strike again! Perhaps I'll ultimately get a feel for still life photographs. Perhaps...
