Punakaiki and Heading home

Punakaiki also known as Pancake Rocks due to the layered formation of the rocks and it can be a quite spectacular place to visit if there is a big swell running which unfortunately there was not.
The run from Hokitika to Punakaiki was directly into the sun so challenging but another blue sky day. 
Over the two days I covered 714 kms on excellent roads and due to the lack of tourists the roads were clear of traffic.

The water leak saga is continuing as we found the laminated flooring has absorbed the water and is lifting so the insurance was called and they have turned up and stated "There is significant water damage" so they are looking at changing the flooring for the whole dining and lounge areas. It's also looking like the cupboard door frame where the cylinder resides is also swollen.

Dining out in the evening with Vicki n Ed and a couple of other ex-neighbours rounded off a couple of days very nicely.
