Le Vent Du Nord

A lovely calm day, all day.  A sunny morning and blue skies to start the day, then clouded over for the rest of the day.

Up early, early shift in the airport.  I started off on the check-in desk, and then met and boarded flights the rest of my shift.  All flights in and out on time.  With this dry spell, the garden and greenhouse needed a good watering this evening, and spoke with neighbours, Laurence and Sandra over the fence.  Met friend Julie for walkies tonight.  Feet up, before an early night.

After two years, the Shetland Folk Festival has returned, and starts tonight.  Sadly I'm either working, or plans, so won't make it to any concerts.  This guys are lucky to make it here in time for their concert tonight.  French Canadian band, with delays on their flights into London, and missed last night's ferry.  They finally made it up to Edinburgh, and then Loganair organised their flights to get here.  They told me they have been here to the SFF before, that was 14 years ago.  Hope they have a superb weekend.  Members of Le Vent Du Nord, L-R - Nicolas Boulerice, Olivier Demers, André Burnet (seated), Réjean Burnet and Simon Beaudry.  Taken in arrivals, Sumburgh Airport.
