Head light

Late to bed, slept ok, but still felt tired when I should have been getting up…. note to self, you really must get to bed earlier!

once I was up and ready, did a few things before heading out for an hour or so. I had a late breakfast, brown toast with a coffee, spent some time doing my brain training quizzes lol. As I sat there I could feel my mood slumping….. not sure why, but felt a bit close to tears for a couple of hours. Sis in law rang me for a chat, that distracted me for a while, at least.

I called into the card shop to get 5 granddaughter birthday cards, youngest two are both in May, and one for daughter in law.

Got home…. the plan was to get stuck into the housework, as I had visitors for tea, but found myself in tears, so just sat around for an hour trying to compose myself…. maybe its to do with our Wedding Anniversary coming up? Had a couple of messages off friends, they helped too. Put the radio on, then started on the kitchen……windows, counter tops, cooker & hood, cleaned all he kick boards under the cupboards & lastly steam mopped the floor. Moved on to the lounge & dining room, dusted, hoovered, wiped down the suite, light fittings, cleaned the downstairs loo, hoovered the hallway and washed down the front door. Upstairs, hoovered 5 rooms, dusted 3, was starting to flag a bit by then lol, looks so much better!

I was glad Id made a Lasagne earlier, just prepared a big bowl of mixed salad to accompany it, Em, seen here “playing on her phone” had a corn on the cob with hers. As you can see she is growing into a rather attractive young lady, she will be 14 later this year. Daughter is dieting before her hols, so she had spicy chicken breast with her salad…….partner Simon had whatever was going ;-)

We chatted and caught up for an hour before we played a game of Rummikub, Em won of course!

Im currently watching my half hearted team v Chelsea on tv, 1-1 at the mo, could go either way!

I am going to get to bed at a reasonable hour tonight…….work in the morning, but yet another Bank Holiday to come ;-)
