A varied day

Starting with the usual Lidl shop, then singing. After that I met Jon in Cromer for a walk via QD, the postoffice and Jarrolds.

I didn't hang about in Cromer on my own, like I usually do. It was too cold for one thing, but also I had a date with my sewing machine in the afternoon. So back for lunch and to put the shopping away (with Ralph's help). Then the machine was out and I knocked up 4 draw string bags from the fabric from an old gazebo. We plan to take them tomorrow for our night on the beach. All will be revealed tomorrow I hope. The forecast is for it getting colder. Jon said 4 degrees tomorrow night, and on the beach, with wind etc, I can only imagine that will feel even colder than that! Oh well - it will be a memorable anniversary. Bags made, I went to the allotment and carried on digging. Making very slow progress with the compacted plot, and today dug up 2 old asparagus plants, I had forgotten were there. They both had a sprout of life so I have brought them home. They will get a chance of life in the garden where I can manage the weeds around them better.

Back at 6 and Mollie was cooking tea - one of our current favourite veggie meals Spicy Bean chilli. Now just some tv before bed.
