Depart from Adinkerke-Panne

Opposite the station Plopsaland, a well-known themepark for children. The high roller coasters didn't seem very appealing to me, but then I'm not a kid.

During our bike ride along the coast, we reminisced about the few times we've ridden the route to Dunkirk before. Previously we didn't have much time as we had to catch a ferry, now we had time to leisurely cycle along the beach and read some information boards about the withdrawal of mainly the British army who were trapped there and had to be evacuated in 1940. Although the theme of our route was to be the roman road, a lot of history is to be read in the area.
