Abstract Thursday: "Transience"

Ingeborg has chosen "transience" for today's AT challenge, which gives us a very wide scope.

Nothing lasts for ever and electronic tech is certainly no exception. Over the years I seem to have accumulated rather a large number of defunct hard disc drives which are waiting to be physically "destroyed" to ensure the data are unreadable before I send them for recycling.

I photographed a pile of 6 of them and subjected them to "virtual destruction" in the process of producing this abstract (a "solarise" filter changed the colour and "polar coordinates" distorted the photo).
