Diary of an Edinburgher

Shortbread

I went along to the gym this morning, with my new left earbud, and kept fingering it to make sure it was secure. (I kept well away from drains!)

I did twenty minutes on the treadmill, walking up Skipper’s Canyon in the South Island, NZ. I’d been there many years ago, the 70s, and it was a pretty hairy drive. I also walked to the Blue Pools, Otago. Phew! 100 calories. Then I went on the bike and cycled a bit more of the Champagne route. Another 100 calories. I figured I could have two one piece of shortbread with my coffee.

JR had been at her gym classes, then Pilates, then took Archie for a big walk. She’s been doing 20,000 steps most days lately. She walked back through Bruntsfield, and this shop has made a bit of an effort.

I spent AGES in the afternoon trying to figure out how to show (mirror) the holiday photos on the television, more convenient for any other interested visitors. (Even if they’re not interested, actually…) I eventually figured it out, but the effort caused me to doze for the rest of the afternoon.
