The world may never know. It’s been a rough day in Biller/Credentialing world. Lots of issues unrelated to me or providers, but rather at the insurance companies themselves. Network status issues (just dropping providers from the network without cause), claims issues (denied due to network participation), and late processing of claims (exceeding 30 days for electronic claims). It’s just been a day of emotion. Frustration led to overwhelmingly irritation which led to tears and emotional breakdown.

It’s not easy wearing all the hats in this company of one. I’m learning to put boundaries on both myself and my business. I’m updating contracts as new issues arise and alerting providers that my administrative time is not included in our existing contract and in such will be a separate charge.

I refuse to work for free. I refuse to take on stress, anxiety and frustration without compensation.
