Hawes
Hawes in the Yorkshire Dales is just 1 hours drive from us. We had a lovely lunch at the old railway station after walking around the village. The signs along the high street suggest you need to keep walking if you want to read the menu options...
Our return route took us over the hills into Wharfe Dale and along the River Wharfe. The Dales Way follows this section of the river. At Deepdale we came across a flock of sheep with lambs on the road. The farmers were still way up on the hill but they seemed to know where they were going. I just pulled over and watched them go by.
I've added a collage in extras from the trip.
