.....finally got the shot I wanted.
Yesterday I failed on two attempts mainly because I was too far away.

The firing of the cannon happens twice a day in Valletta, once at 12;00 and again at 16:00. Today I paid the massive 3 Euros to get close to the action at 12:00.

After a good walk around and viewing the big bang it was time for a lovely lunch in one of the delightful back streets.

The afternoon was spent looking for photo opportunities (mainly people watching in the city), a few beers and an ice-cream for Orla.
