So today I woke up in Kalgoorlie at 5am, went to the yard, did some computer work and dropped off equipment.

I was at the airport at 7 and flew on the delayed morning flight to Perth at 9. When in perth I picked up my car and went to collect some work gear from the office. I drove home and got some glasses i had ordered and post that was in the post office.

At home I unpacked and washed clothes and then packed for my trip to the UK. I drove to get a blood test and then out again to get a tetanus jab.

I squeezed in a 1hr nap then I went to see a friend to pick up some things he had for my UK trip.

I went over to the climbing gym near the airport for 630pm for just over an hour of climbing with friends before changing and showering and getting flopped off at the airport at 815pm

They said to check in from 8pm but I was immediately turned away. I had to watch everyone else checking in. Apparently I had paid one of the lowest fares so they decided that I wouldn't get the flight if everyone that booked turned up, they had overbooked essentially. So after fuming on the sidelines for over 1.5 hours they finally let me check in at 950pm when there was no one else waiting. They said be at the gate at 940pm.... .... so rushed through to get there in time.

I had time to spare in the end. It's now 11pm and my flight is about to leave. It's been a huge day, feels like 3 in one!

It's not over yet, I'm going to try and stay up for 6 hours more so that I can get closer to the UK time zone.
