DAY 1 - HERE WE GO

Usually we have such an early flight at ridiculous o’clock but today was civilised.
#Left home at 9:30…waited 2 mins for bus
#arrived at station at 10…waited 10 mins for train to airport.
#shuttle to other terminal
#now waiting for plane via the lounge courtesy of Mum (thanks). Unfortunately The Rev doesn’t like champagne so I had to have his free glass too. We tasted most things on offer plus a few drinks and then made to the gate!!
There was a frustrating delay getting on the plane and no hot food (not that we were concerned!!) and then it ended with a rather scary aborted landing. The air hostesses didn’t seem concerned they said there may have been something on the runway or the approach was too fast!!!!
Quick transfer to our hotel, check in, late night dinner and bed.
