Look Out

I wondered why Mr Mallard didn't fly away, until I realised he was guarding the rear. I assume his other half was checking out a potential nesting site. To be fair, they were at quite a distance and the wind was buffeting my camera, making it hard to see things clearly. I was surprised I got such a clear shot in the circumstances. The image is cropped significantly though. Mallards are fairly common, but at least they are colourful.
