In Da Fruitful Hold

A beautiful sunny day, there was clouds passing over.  A lovely warm day in the lea, but still a chilly breeze.

Day off and up early.  A morning in the garden and greenhouse, until Sammy's patience ran out, and we headed out walkies.  We nipped in for a cuppa with big Brian and Madeline.  Mam came over after lunch, and we headed out for a walk again.  Took the washing in, then dashed down for my shift in the shop.  A busy night, and folk off with Covid-19, so I've stayed on late to fill shelves while no customers to pester me.

Mam must have passed through Trondra a million times, but never walked there, and it's close to home, so off we set.  First stop was to see the hulk of the old Whalsay fishing boat, the Fruitful Bough LK 403.  Even with the rot and burn markings, she's still holding up not too bad, I even managed climb up to the bow, and inside the hold.  I have blipped her before, but not from inside the hold.  Wonder how much fish she caught over the years? She certainly won't be catching anymore.  Taken below Grindadale, Trondra.
