Plenty of variety
I went out for coffee this morning with 3 of my sewing friends to a cafe in a neighbouring village. It was warm, sunny and an interesting environment. The cakes were delicious.
This afternoon I helped B to finish demolishing the old block circle and start building the replacement one. I also moved some plants that are in small pots about, to try to keep them from drying out in this rain free weather!!
This evening we went to the first face to face lecture at Lincoln Uni, for two years. It was the 2022 Newton Lecture. Most of it was over my head, but it was interesting and had a degree of humour. It was good to be back on the Uni site and see the completed School of Medicine with its newly planted apple trees, cuttings from Isaac Newton’s apple tree in Woolsthorpe Manor, near Grantham.
Home via the chippie in the village. The shop bought fish and chips for supper, were delicious. The portion size was enormous, we shared a large fish and chips between us and gave some chips to Amber.
