On the Beach!

When we were in Barnstaple a few days back I bought the FotoVue book for Devon and Cornwall (to go with the ones I bought just before the first lockdowns!)  Today we drove up to Woolacombe to see Barricane and Combesgate beaches which are mentioned in the book.  Both are rocky and of more interest to photographers and geologists than say Woolacombe beach which is a wide open sandy expanse. 

It was an easy drive with wide (for Devon) roads. When we arrived above the coast there was plenty of space to park and ... it was free!
The sun was shining down from a blue sky and aside from the breeze it was a delight of a day.    Probably better to be here very early or near sunset for the best photography but I'll not be complaining! 

A really restful last day of our break and somewhere to come back too when sunrise is later and sunset earlier.
Or possibly when the sea is above wetsuit temperatures?
We both liked the Barricane beach cafe where the tea and coffee comes in real cups.
