River of Flowers

Tuesday: Today’s Flowers

Beautiful sunny morning, no wind and warm enough to eat breakfast outdoors!
Gardening jobs - Deep bed No.1 behind greenhouse:
Sowed a row of Sugarsnap peas, well past their sow-by date & because I anticipate failure have sown Pea “Shiraz” with them - good watering and covered with rigid plastic from old cold-frame.
Next to the peas I’ve transplanted a few Broccoli “Hungry Gap” and Kale “Red Russian” with flower seeds scattered around them: zinnia & nigella which were free with a magazine, pot marigolds (Calendula “Fiesta Gitana”) from Lidl yesterday and Asparagus peas, also past their sow-by date and some seeds of Lunaria which I collected on our lane last autumn, commonly called “Moon pennies” - fingers crossed for a mass of flowers :-))
I also ate my lunch outdoors, it really was that warm! But late afternoon, cloud arrived from the mainland, it got very cold and I packed everything away and took my book indoors to continue reading.

MrD went off on his motorbike along deserted tracks in the mountains, he’d had a picnic lunch by a river and had enjoyed his adventure!
Stay safe & healthy & happy everyone :-)
Nos da pawb / goodnight all xx
