Whalley

(pronounced Worley, we think?!)

This was a first time visit here after a peruse nearby of a bike shop for Rich. I found a short stroll around Whalley which was really lovely.  This is a view from the gatehouse to the longest viaduct in Lancashire and you might have spotted that they designed some of the arches on the viaduct to reflect the arches in the gatehouse.

Just before this, we spotted a nuthatch and happened upon its nest in the old sawn trunk of a tree. It popped down to feed a little face that appeared at the tiny circular doorway.

Enjoyed a short ride when we got home.
