The Hungry Caterpillar

I found the tell tale signs that something had been munching on my sunflowers that I got in the field last week.  There were holes in the leaves and the dead giveaway of caterpillar ablutions under the vase - (the ablutions are tiny black lumps if you must know).   Righto, well I found the culprit and took it on a leaf outside.

I have been madly googling to try and identify it so I can put it on a plant that it can eat.   Doing the best I can I think it is the caterpillar of a Silver Y moth.  They eat stinging nettles, clover and cabbages but I am not going to put in on my cabbages I have planted and I don't have any stinging nettles.  I will have to find it a clover field.

I think that fits the bill for Tiny Tuesday today.  Thanks for hosting Sheol.
